PORTSIDE COLLISION CENTER SINCE 2013

Portside Collision was started in 2013 after Juan left a high volume body shop, fixing over 40 cars a week. Prior to that he worked for Geico. Portside Collision has always had the customers needs first ahead of anything else. We have grown tremendously over the past ten years and look forward to serving the Port Jeff station, Miller place, Stony brook community for years.

Portside owner, Juan Lago, went to school for Automotive Engineering at SUNY Farmingdale. From there he worked for 6 years at Geico. That is where he achieved I-car platinum status and became ASE Master Collision certified. Being able to go from shop to shop allowed him to learn correct repair techniques. In 2007 he was given the opportunity to manage a large production style body shop. 

Juan states that the time he spent there was "priceless." He mastered direct repair shop programs for companies like Geico, Allstate, Progressive, Liberty Mutual & Farmers, averaging over 90% satisfaction. In addition, he qualified that shop to become a Honda and Acura recognized repair facility because of the consistent quality and commitment to OE repair procedures and standards. 

With over 9,000 cars repaired under his belt, he decided to open his own shop to better serve the individual customer. In a big shop the customer can be lost quickly. Now, he can personalize the repair according to the customer's needs.

Portside Collision is a Honda and Acura repair specialist, but we are capable of repairing all makes and models. We can handle anything from a minor scratch to a major accident. We accept all major insurances. We also offer affordable out of pocket repairs. In addition, we can help with your lease return cleanups. 

With our Car-o-liner frame machine any frame repair is painless, and the paint finish comes out flawless in our semi-downdraft spray booth. A perfect color match is always guaranteed with our PPG paint system.
